Frequently asked questions.

01 Can I come alone, without a team? +

Yes! Teams form on Friday evening. You can come solo — we will help you find a group that matches your level and interests.

02 Do I need to know how to code? +

No. This hackathon is for everyone, not just developers. We welcome non-technical business people, UI/UX designers, testers, business analysts and company owners too. What matters is the drive to see and learn how to build with coding agents on Open Mercato, and the openness to pick up such an agent and give it a go over the weekend. We provide onboarding and mentors to help you get started.

03 What is Open Mercato? +

Open Mercato is an open-source ERP built in an agentic-first way. During the hackathon you will work with the platform's code — building agents, real-world solutions or spectacular demos.

04 Is accommodation provided? +

We do not provide accommodation. The event takes place in Wrocław, at Concordia Design on Słodowa Island — we recommend booking a hotel or Airbnb nearby. The hackathon runs from Friday 4:00 PM to Sunday 4:00 PM.

05 What language is the hackathon in? +

The hackathon is held in Polish. Talks and materials are in Polish, but code and technical documentation may be in English.

06 What should I bring? +

A laptop and an open mind. If you code, set up a dev environment and a GitHub account; if not, we'll help you get started on site. Before the event we will send instructions with a list of tools to install. Food and coffee are on us.

07 Can I work on my own idea? +

Projects must relate to one of the four tracks (Showcase, AI Company, Solve Your Real Problem, Cezar) and to Open Mercato. Within a track you have full creative freedom.

08 How are projects judged and rewarded? +

The jury evaluates projects during the Sunday demos. Each track has its own prize, plus a cross-track People's Choice award.
